Lin was pacing through the hallways of the castle in her human form. She had just finished speaking with her superiors about the dragon Draetrialis attacking a griffin on neutral ground without provocation. Lin had explained how she found the dragon's cave in the lake and how he had treated her like a trespasser. She mentioned how she retaliated to this not wanting a fight. Lin's superiors seemed especially interested when she got to the part about the griffin diving in after her to aid her in the fight with Draetrialis. After Lin had finished her story, her superiors said they would take care of it. That was it. It annoyed her so much that the only thing they said was that they would take care of it. She expected something more from her superiors. Like how they were going to take care of it for instance. It was times like this that made Lin wonder whether or not the rebellion formed because of vague responses like this. Hopefully her superiors would actually confront Draetrialis about his actions, after all neutral ground was a place declared by both sides to be free of fighting unless it was for defense.
Lin sighed in frustration, there was no use in just pacing around doing nothing. Then again what could she do? She leaned against a wall and breathed in deeply trying to calm her frantic thoughts. It wasn't like anyone died that day and no mortal injuries were dealt. Sure she was still pissed off at her superiors' dismissal, but it wasn't too bad overall.

OCC -- This is my post in Valerie's human form, not dragon. IC -- Valerie rounded the corner from her room to come down the hallway, on her way to get something to eat. She spotted Lin leaning against a wall, calming herself. "Hey Lin, how are you doing?" She walked over, her shoes making barely a sound. This is one of the reasons I love wearing ballet-style shoes. I can't believe some people bother to wear shoes that are very loud. She tugged on one of the elbow-length gloves she was wearing, pulling it a little bit tighter. She was wearing blue silk dress in which the trim and a middle stripe was darker than the rest. It was one of her more casual dresses, one of the ones she wore when she knew only the other residents of the castle would see. If she were to go outside, she was going to have to change, probably into one of her gowns that were modeled after huntsman outfits. She was fascinated about those types of outfits, loving how versatile and yet exquisite her versions were. Now that I think about it, I may need to go get some new silks, my old ones are starting to wear somewhat. She started walking again, not realizing she had stopped. She walked up to Lin, smoothing down her dress.

Soft footsteps pattered down the hallway and Lin looked up to see Valerie approaching her. "Hello Valerie." She said nodding a head in her direction. Valerie stopped in front of her wearing a tasteful dress. "Hey Lin, how are you doing?" she asked while tugging on her gloves. Lin sighed, Valerie was her best friend in Ammon although she may not agree with her view on the war. "Alright I guess. I recently reported a dragon attack on a griffin in neutral territory without provocation. You can't imagine how frustrating this is." Lin said tilting her head back against the wall. She remembered how she and Valerie met, if memory served well, it was in the streets. At the time it was when Lin caught her stealing from a vendor. They were so young back then, Lin had paid the vendor and apologized for Valerie. After that they began to see each other more often and the rest is history.
"If you're wondering about the whole dragon attack I'll tell you this. It was in fact my fault because I accidentally trespassed on his territory and he rightfully attacked me. However the griffin saw this and came to help me. The dragon was a jerk and starting attacking the griffin just because he had a run in with one as a child." Lin said before looking at Val again, "Honestly you'd think any decent dragon could follow simple rules enforced to avoid conflicts, but what do you see? Vengeful idiots that hold a grudges for way too long. I'm wondering now whether or not our superiors will even do anything about this." Lin uncrossed her arms. She realized that maybe she was being a bit rude for dumping everything onto Valerie. "So what have you been up to recently? If I recall correctly there was an issue with the garden being destroyed if the gossip serves true."

OCC -- It's weird talking about my character with my character....lol! IC -- Valerie listened as her friend went on about the attack on the Griffin, interested about how cruel this Dragon was. Hmm, that's interesting. This Dragon sounds almost like the rude 'Draetrialis' I 'met' yesterday in the gardens. But her wondering was cut short when Lin unkindly reminded her of the garden-incident. Even though she had already been thinking of it, the fact that they were already gossiping about it disturbed her even more, since it was a harsh reminder about the damage done. "Hmm, that sounds almost like that rude-steroid-of-a-lizard that I met yesterday. Oh, that reminds me! Lin, at some point today, can you go and wash off the blood I left in the gardens from that 'Draetrialis'? We had a little 'spat' yesterday." She smiled, feeling her face and picking off little bits of dried blood, wincing when she hit a scab. "Oh crap!" She looked around, making sure that her swear wasn't heard by her manners teacher, for she was VERY particular about swearing. I just wish she'd leave me alone, she's always nagging me about my habits and bad ones. She shook herself free of her tangent thought as she came back to her realization that her little fight yesterday with Draetrialis was now being talked about in the lower levels of the castle. I'm not sure which is worse, my manners teacher hearing me swear or the fact that it's only a matter of time until the garden keepers figure out that I was the one who cut the Royal Roses. She felt the deep scratch on her face that she had accidentally pulled the scab off of.

Whenever there was an incident of some sort within the castle, news of it would spread like wildfire among the servants. Lin had found out about the incident in the garden after only spending an hour in the castle. "Hmm, that sounds almost like that rude-steroid-of-a-lizard that I met yesterday. Oh, that reminds me! Lin, at some point today, can you go and wash off the blood I left in the gardens from that 'Draetrialis'? We had a little 'spat' yesterday." Valerie replied and Lin raised an eyebrow. Draetrialis fought with Valerie? How unfortunate for him, unlike Lin, Valerie didn't care whether or not she hurt her opponents. It was strange to Lin though that they had both met Draetrialis. She couldn't help but laugh a little at Valerie's nickname for him. "That's interesting Valerie, seeing as the dragon I fought with was in fact called Draetrialis as well. Unfortunately I'm still trying to recover the energy I used up on him during our own run-in so I won't be able to do something like rain yet." Lin said apologetically. She looked at Valerie's scratch with concern, "You should get a healer to look at that. It might get infected otherwise." Lin had seen the garden herself and it was not a pretty sight. The gardeners would without a doubt filet Valerie alive. "Mind you, I'd give the gardeners a pay raise before they find out about the garden less they skin you alive." Although that was a bit of an overstatement, the gardeners were proud of their work so the destruction of the garden would not be a welcome sight to them.

"Oh, good idea! Maybe double pay...that might help. Now you're right, I have to head over to the healer so I'm going to go, but avoid the garden. See you later, Lin! Maybe I'll meet you at the pool later!" Valerie said farewell and quietly slipped away again, her attempt to keep any Garden keepers asleep and well in their own rooms. Her silken dress made a swishing sound and her shoes made their soft pit-patting sound. I rather like traveling like this, the silk is nice a breathable and these shoes allow me to sneak around the castle without being detected. Only when I want to see someone do they hear me. It works especially well during early morning or late at night, when the workers and other members of the castle are in their rooms. She walked down one of the corridors, and noticed immediately that she could see the garden though a window at the end of where she was headed. Oh crap, I know I don't want to go that way, the Garden keepers (any who are early risers) will be there! She took an abrupt left, heading down an alternate hallway that would take her to the infirmary section.
